How It Works

Every 3DP Labs portrait is made to order from a photo you choose. Here's how a photo becomes a one-of-a-kind piece of 3D-printed string art.

1. Choose your piece

Pick your size — 180 mm for a perfect accent piece, or 240 mm for a bold statement portrait — and your display style: a hanging wood board (ready to hang out of the box) or a deep shadow box for a gallery finish.

2. Place your order

Check out securely. You don't upload anything at this stage — just tell us the size and style you want.

3. Send us your photo

Right after checkout, you'll get an email confirmation. Simply reply and attach the photo you'd like us to use. That's it — we'll take it from there.

4. We craft & ship it

We translate your image into a string-art pattern and print it on our own 3D printer as a single, durable PLA piece. Once it's finished, we carefully package it and ship it to you ready to hang.

Photo tips for the best result

• Choose a high-contrast, well-lit image with a clear subject.
• Close-up portraits of people or pets work beautifully, as do couples.
• Simple, uncluttered backgrounds keep the focus on your subject.
• Higher-resolution photos give sharper detail.
